note the clue at the end of the gear list: 'slides: cut short to fit
pinky'.  maybe that's been the problem all along - they were cut too
short???

What I've always heard here is that Bobby slide stuff wasn't cut short
enough ...

good one! poor Bob - here he is out there giving these great
interviews, still out playing the music, and all we can do is still
pick on his slide playing. well, we never promised him a rose garden
