It will certainly have more of an effect on the bears than it will on
gas prices.

You don't know that. We simply do not know how much is there to begin
with because it of the status of the area. If the US came out with
even the initiative to increase domestic supply, it would affect the
futures market pressuring the prices downward post haste, IMO. This
should be part of a larger energy initiative taking advantage of all
we have going for us. "ymmv"
