Yo, congrats to the Celtics. Now, ko be steamrolled.
Yeah, let's get this party started right.
Ray Allen is old and will be exposed.
No need for the Lakers to guard Rondo.
KG will choke.
There is no one on the Celtics that has a prayer of guarding Kobe.
The only effective part of the Boston bench are the actual chairs.
And Ainge and McHale are still thugs.
Home court advantage has taken 14 of 14 series so far. I see no reason
this
should end now. Celtics in 6.
And the 2-3-2 format in the finals favors the home team even more.
It's very difficult to win your three home games when you have to win
all three in a row. Since you're almost certain to lose one, that
means you then have to win two on the road, which is very difficult.
The fact that the Lakers are capable of sweeping this series sorta
negates that.
The Lakers are more likely to get swept than vice versa, although I
don't think a sweep is even within the realm of possibility for either
team. Boston beat them both games during the regular season and Kobe
shot 33%. Granted, the Lakers didn't have Gasol but they did have
Bynum for at least one of the games, if not both. I'll take defense
over offense just about every time, and Boston is much better
defensively. And the Lakers have nobody who can effectively guard
either Pierce or Garnett.
Plus the Celtics didn't have Sam Cassell!
Um, nevermind.
This is a really interesting matchup, as the Celtics have the best
defense in the league and the Lakers have the best scorer in the
league. But, as Jim said, everyone is forgetting that the Celtics
have some pretty damn good scorers as well. Look for Ray Allen to
shoot the lights out in this series. His play the last two games has
been vintage Ray.

Gotta agree ... defense trumps offense, generally. Plus gotta give Celts an
advantage for depth and breadth. Should be a good one, if you like B-Ball.
