Re: What I like about Dave Matthews

One of the problems with top-posting is that attributions are often
unclear. For example, someone who reads this will have no idea whether
I'm replying to you, Fred, SkyYellowSun or myself. It's much easier
when the reply immediately follows the statement being replied to.

I did used to post here as "Jeff and Sara Salmon" and I don't understand how
I am negative. I am just trying to engage people in debate and get other
peoples opinions.

If I come across as negative I apologize. I guess I get a bit rattled when
folks start posting things off topic that seems to belittle me as a member
of this group. Perhaps someone could guide me to some sort of instruction
on the etiquette of Newsgroups so I won't offend anyone

When I joined this newsgroup almost ten years ago I contributed to postings
but most were regarding trading (remember life before Bit torrent). I met
alot of kind and interesting people through snail mail trading on this
newsgroup (most who seem to have disappeared from here) and built up a vast
collection of music in the process.

Bring on the flames.

Sweeping generalizations were better in the 70's. And top posters
suck.

Fred

Still, Jeffro is better than many of the other nuts that plague this
site every so often. You gotta love his dogged devotion to the subject
matter.

I always get a chuckle from folks that frame their argument using the
"bring on the flames, you morons" method and then wonder why nobody
takes them seriously and start in with the pouty lecturing. What a
winning formula. If the pattern holds, we'll soon have the, "see, I
knew you people were assholes."

Pissy Chrissy has it down to an artform.

Fred

Those folks aren't as bad as the one who tell people to bring on the
flames and then complain when they get them.
