In no particular order...
After seeing him in the post-game interview, I hope they put Belichick
on suicide watch.
**Mr. Cheery, huh. Those interviews of the losers are always awful, but
this was even more awful than usual.
Worst SB ads EVER!! They're making it really, really tough to watch
this game with a slew of commercials after every stoppage in play.
**Yeah, they sucked. Only 3 commercials I liked: Fedex with the giant
pigeons, Victoria's Secret near end, and that NFL commercial about the
Houston lineman who used to play oboe ("It's a member of the woodwind
family").
Could this be the first SB game (or maybe the first NFL game) ever
without anything close to a controversial call by the refs? They take
plenty of crap, and a lot of it is deserved, but they did a nice job
tonight letting the players play.
**I had the same thought. Fantastic job by the refs. Only 1 challenge, and
that was for that cheesy 12th man penalty: glad to see that didn't have a
bearing on anything!
Has any player ever had an attitude adjustment as big as Plaxico
Burress? The guy went from being a major pain in the ass to a total
team player in one season.
**No doubt. He just *played* this year... no stopping in the middle of
plays this year, like the last 2 years, including a couple interceptions
where he felt it more important to argue with refs than try and tackle the
guy with the ball.
When was the last time you saw only one FG attempt in an NFL game,
much less a SB?
Manning's Houdini act resulting in the circus catch by Tyree has to go
down as one of the most amazing plays in SB history. Tyree actually
caught it with one hand cradling the ball against his helmet!
Spagnuolo put together a great defensive game plan; unfortunately, it
was so good that he probably won't be back next year. But all the
young talent will be.
**ForeSkins will probably sign him, now. DannyBoy Snyder will think this is
QuickFix du jour, unless Spagnuolo realizes he shouldn't work for a meddling
putz who has saved the head coach all the trouble of hiring his own staff.
