Oh, I'd NEVER live there - I can't deal with heat and humidity.
Hopefully I can cope for the few days we'll be there! Thankfully my
inlaws have air conditioning. <g>

*Everybody* in Singapore has air conditioning.

I had lyme about 10 years ago, similar syptoms to what you're
describing plus the tell-tale "bullseye" rash where the tick had
bitten me. The doctor prescribed a three week course of amoxicillin,
the first day on it I felt worse (if that was possible, I really felt
like crap when I went to the doctor), after that I felt completely
better and had no other symptoms. I think it depends on the "type" of
Lyme disease you have and when you get diagnosed and start treatment.
Good luck!

Thanks. I still feel lousy - no energy to do much of anything. Very
"blah". I never had the rash aside from the area where the tick got me
(neck). Today the "flu" type feelings are gone - no more runny nose or
weird coughing. Guess that's progress! I'm used to having a lot more
"oomph" though... hopefully the antibiotics will get to work sometime
soon. Maybe there needs to be a certain amount in my system. I'm taking
100mg of doxycycline twice a day.

My bout with lyme disease was 10 years ago, I have no recollection of
the dosage. Hang in, it does get better.
