Oh? Does anyone here have the ability to stop you from posting? The
question is, are you genuine and forthright in your dealings with others?

Again, why would you think otherwise? Just because my opinions are contrary
to
yours and many others regarding non-music issues, why does that cause you to
wonder if
my beliefs are in line with my online comments?

Seems to me that it was *you* who brought all of this up, with your survey
to determine if we were fit to interact with you.

It wasn't a survey, just a query to see if there were any new "faces" out
here that might
share my political beliefs, as I am fully aware they are in the minority in
the "deadhead
community".

No offense, Darren, but you started a couple threads laying that on the
line, and proceeded -- as is your right -- to relentlessly debate in
support of flogging points of view that are likely -- and not just
around this little sector of cyberspace -- to have a polarizing effect,
to say the least. It's your right to hold and propound such views, but
when they literally mirror RNC- and Republican-water-carrier-Rush
Limbaugh talking points, you are bound to and must expect to get a
certain reaction. And to slough it off by depreciatingly calling Rush
entertainment, while doggedly holding discourse in support of those
interests, only cements that perception.

There's Google if you have the inclination, where you can review rmgd
threads to see that political discussion here is not all
black-and-white; there are many here including myself who do appreciate
the chance to "touch on the grey." Libertarian (small l) is OK by me;
where many people part (including past Cheney pal Barlow, for example)
is when Republicans lose their hands-off respect for the individual and
begin the inexorable encroachment on individual rights, and let whacko
apocalyptic neocon cretins run the show...this crap seems to happen
cyclically (think national-debt-inducing and the willy-nilly, arbitrary
and capricious social expenditure cuts induced by Reaganomics 20-25
years ago; never mind the record debt being accrued by this
administration nor the corrosive effect it will have on our society for
decades to come), with the electorate letting this all go down, while
standing by either amnesiac, stupid, or both. How can you justify
that? Do you care about our society?

Well let's be honest Steve-san. Your politics echo the far bitter
left, no?
And I've never seen anything too "libertarian" come from your copy/
paste campaigns. If you agreed with any libertarian economic
principles (see Milton Friedman, Robert L. Bartley) you would not have
the knee jerk reaction to what RR tried to do in the early 80's
(reduce government which they didn't and cut marginal tax rates which
they managed to do). The economy went on a growth spurt for the next
18 years (from 1983-2000) and in spite of everything is still
correcting and growing. How can you ignore all the progress "Amurika"
has made? Do you care about our society?
