Greek pizza? Ack! Nooooooooooooooooooooo! Ptuh, Ptuh ...

Most of the fast food places in Boston aren't chains like McDs,
they're sub shops. And the sub shops are predominantly owned by
Greeks who also serve pizza. Greeks, have no bidness making pizza,
yet nonetheless have a virtual monopoly on the pizza industry in
Boston. The few straggling Italians who open pizzarias here are
apparently the ones who couldn't make it in NYC because their pies
were so bad.

That's a pretty accurate assessment of the Boston pizza scene in my
experience. There is one place near my in-laws that has passable
pizza, the rest are horrible.
