I worked with a guy who would not listen to anything anyone
suggested. He was new, and we all tried to help train him.
We would give him hints on how to debug a problem, and he
never took the advice. The final straw for me was when he blamed
me and another guy for a bad fix. We never worked with him
on it! Another (same nationality) engineer had helped him.

This guy ended up getting "promoted" from group to group.
He was eventually laid off during the dot com bust.

He was also involved in a fender bender where he tried to
claim false physical injuries and car damage. One of my
coworkers got the other persons name and called her to tell
her she was being scammed.
