I gave Dylans new one the once through yesterday during a somewhat long drive. I think it is mediocre at best. One song sounded like a blatant ripoff off of "Trouble No More". I found myself singing the Allmans lyrics along with Bob.
There's a couple nice grooves going down on the record from time to time, but the slow stuff, please just give me a break. Bob's no crooner, and it just sounds lame to my ear.
I liked Love and Theft, but this one's a yawner IMO...
Weird...Bob croons all over Love & Theft.
BTW, Muddy Waters actually wrote the lyrics to "Trouble No More", not the Allmans.
