He is on tour this year. Anyone seen him recently?
Only on his TV show, "Surviving Nugent"...
Regardless of whether you agree with his politics, it's funny to watch
him put a bunch of whiny, pampered brats through a series of tasks
(some of which involve killing and and preparing their own meals) for
a chance to win a bunch of money and a new vehicle.
Saw Ted warming up for ZZ Top a couple of years back, musically the same old
schtick, camo netting and guns hung around the stage, lots of lib-baiting
remarks from Ted to the approval of the Harley-riding crowd.
Here's a hoot where Ted is interviewed by a journalist who doesn't care for
hunting.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/nugent.asp
"What do these deer think when they see you coming?" I ask him. "Here comes
the nice guy who puts out our dinner? Or, there's the man that shot my
brother?"
"I don't think they're capable of either of those thoughts, you Limey
***. They're only interested in three things: the best place to eat,
having sex and how quickly they can run away. Much like the French."
A modified version of this (true) story has circulated with the journalist
depicted as French and Nugent's response rewritten, but the basic story is
correct. ;^)
