You got that right.

Cheese was superlame. acoustic first set (works for some, but didn't
for me) and electric 2nd set. It was nowhere near 1/10th of the energy
and vibe of last years stop in this venue.

I liked the acoustic opening set as it forces Kang to play acoustic mandolin. An 1:15 set length was pretty generous.

I agree they never approached the energy level of last year's Big Summer Classic. But they brought enough goods to satisfy me.

Ratodog just never really got going. Highlight of the first set was
"rooster", imo. Their version of Golden Road is pretty good too. 2nd
set got better, but still never took me anywhere.

I downright hated it. She Said->Dark Star with Kang - he was never offered any space to add to the soundscape (and it didn't seem like he knew She Said at all anyway), to the point where he eventually just unplugged and left. Yay.

The sax player sure does overplay his instrument. But I did appreciate what he was doing with sound samples during Dark Star.

Foolish Heart was the straw that broke the camel's back. Weir's delivery so hugely misses the mark with repect to the emotional qualities penned by Hunter and delivered by Garcia, that my stomach was churning by the end. And my evening with the 'Dog was complete.

No traffic hassles whatsoever leaving prior to the second set.
