Re: I'm 44, and I still say "Woohoo"

Will I ever grow into adulthood? Will you?

It's a funny thing, I know for a fact my Dad would not have said "woohoo" at
this age, nor wear shorts and tie-dye t-shirts every day (as I do), nor did
he feel as young. I honestly still (overall) feel like I haven't become an
adult. And it's not a lack of responsibility, since I've been responsible
for running professional publications and such for almost 20 years, and for
the last 4 years I've been father figure to "our" two kids. So, clearly, I'm
doing things adults do. And yet, when something good happens, I say woohoo.
Sure, I'm influenced by Homer Simpson in this matter, but this is just one
sign of a bigger feeling. Are adults becoming more kid-like? Are we able to
enjoy life more because of technology, or because our food is more
genetically modified? Or is it that the music of the Grateful Dead has given
us eternal youth? I don't know...

It's the effect the 5/8/77 Project has had on us.
