Yes, Julia. I started out here last year with the best of intentions. I
could not have even imagined the negativity and nasty vibes that have
been conjured. Once you get pegged here, it's not easy to recover. I
did bring much on myself as I've said.. But forgiveness, respect and
grace are not a part of the deal once the you are down..I'm a fighter
and I did take on a popular RMGDer and apparently he does not want to
address all this and that's fine. But others bring it up with Sean as a
victim and I'm the evil or crazy one, of course. It's easier for them
that way.
From what I've read from you, you will be just fine. You seem like a
cool kind free-spirited lady..the sort that gave my heart some warmth
around shows back in the day.
Peace & Grace.

Yes ... but Carrie forgot to mention that she there were some anonymous
posts (maybe emails as well, I dunno) that were directed at her that she
found offensive. So what she did is track them back to the alleged
sender, a newsgroup regular, and busted him with his employer. Which
most likely put his job at risk. So, this cool, kind, free-spirited lady
stepped outside of the often-foolish newsgroup, and put a man's job, and
his family's well-being at risk.

You sure you've got your attributions correct on this one? You make it
sound like Julia said Carrie was a "cool, kind, free-spirited lady" and I
don't think she wrote that.

And while not knowing the true, actual facts of the Carrie-Sean incident
(there's a lot of blurry one-sided readings of the story on here),
harrasment does happen every day via electronic means. To dismiss the
possibility out of hand is foolish, IMHO.

No, I am not sure of anything, Matt ... and if I mis-read the attribution,
thanks for pointing out that I have done so.

However. You would have to do a better job than you have done to persuade
me that harassment and stalking take place in a venue where each individual
decides whether or not to put themself. Anyone's presence here is purely
voluntary. And if you don't like the people here and what they do, you move
on. That ends it.
