Seems like it has rained about every other day now for a month or
more.
Pouring down now. Got me to thinking about rain references in GD
songs.
There are some obvious ones. Looks Like Rain is one.
And some not so obvious ones ... "cool Colorado rain" ...
Anyone care to add to the list?
I don't think that anyone has mentioned another obvious one, "Box
of Rain"
...
This is incredible ... Hunter talks about the rose being one of his
good,
all-purpose symbols/metaphors/images/wutever-you-want-to-call-its,
but it
seems that he has made a ton of references to rain in his works.
R.
On a brighter note, maybe now we should look for the sun references.
Here comes sunshine.......
JimK
Okay, why not -
sun so hot, the clouds so low, the eagles filled the sky...
sun going up and then the sun going down...
the sky was yellow and the sun was blue...
proud walking jingle in the midnight sun...
the sun's gonna shine in my backdoor someday...
Sunshine Daydream....;-)
W
I'd rather be in some dark hollow where the sun don't ever shine...
Caught up in sunlight
Come on out singing
I'll walk you in the sunshine
Come on honey, come along with me
W
Crazy in the sunlight yes indeed
a breeze in the pines and the sun and bright moonlight...
Nobody's finished, we ain't even begun.
So take off your shoes, child, and take off your hat.
Try on your wings and find out where it's at.
W
Poised for flight, wings spread bright
Spring from night into the sun...
Lazy alligator in the noonday sun... : )
Thanks Kath ... I think Alligator might just be my favorite Dead song ...
welll ... maybe New Potato ... well ... hehe. Anyway ... wouldn't it be
great to be able to see Pig do Alligator just one more time?
