some Eyes of the World over the years-

Start at 2.9.73 (first performance)
9.7.73 (on remastered version of Wake of the Flood)
6.16.74 (SBD in circulation, noteworthy for the unusual transition
into
Big River)
6.18.74 (transition into China Doll, one of the landmark perfect
versions of Eyes)
8.6.74 (on ***'s Picks Vol. 31, long treament in set I)
10.19.74 (seek this one out from the So Many Roads box, as the
Grateful
Dead movie version is edited/truncated)
8.13.75 (One From the Vault, with Mickey Hart back in the band, song
is
paired up as Eyes > drums > King Solomon's Marbles)
6.28.76 (AUD recording on LMA, noteworthy for '76-style restructuring
of solo placements, interesting jam based around Happiness is
Drumming/Fire on the Mountain follows)
9.3.77 (on ***'s Picks 15, one of the quintessential '77 Estimated >
Eyes pairings)
1.30.78 (SBD in circulation, again out of Estimated, as would become
custom for a long time, noteworthy for long Garcia solo segment/Space
at the tail end)
10.25.79 (SBD in circulation, arrival of Brent on keys, followed by
Space/Jam segment that was the usual practice on the way into drumz
for
the Fall '79 tour)
10.14.83 (***'s Picks 6, another typical '80's version, with the
tempo
getting ever faster, still a ncie jam at the end)
6.27.85 (SBD in circulation, interesting transition from out of Feel
Like A Stranger, demonstrates the shorter treatment Eyes received in
the mid-'80's at breakneck tempos)
3.19.90 (SBD in circulation, arrival of the MIDI's, still at super
fast
pace, but interesting in that the major/minor jam at the end is back,
and after drumz, we get China Doll, kind of an update on the classic
'70's pairing)
3.29.90 (Without a Net, with Branford Marsalis, a landmark return to a
more relaxed tempo)
6.17.91 (SBD in circulation, Eyes opener, with Vince & Hornsby on
keys)
10.17.94 (SBD in circiluation, long version, not really great, but it
does reflect the general demise of JG)

The above is a great list... throw in 4/2/73, 8/1/73 and 10/25/73, one
of which is the best Eyes ever IMHO... I'm just not sure which one it
is...

Also, 7/8/78 and 11/5/79 are great "later" versions...
