I have an old scratchy cassette recording of what, in my opinion, is
the best Greatest Story Ever Told. I am trying to identify what show it
is from.

The jam in the song features an amazing whah-whah solo by Garcia,
accompanied by some chilling (in a good way) wailing by Donna. I was
usually not a huge of fan of Donna wailing during instumentals, but on
this cut her and Garcia hit the same notes so it's almost like dueling
guitars.

The only clues I can provide is that the band is in single-drummer
configuration, and features Donna prominently, so I guess that would
narrow it down to '73 or '74.

Any guesses?

Marc

Could you give us a few more hints? What other songs are played. If
it doesn't turn out to be 9/28/72 then you still haven't heard the
greatest Greatest....

....although the version on "Steppin' Out..." is damn damn good too.
