The pamphlet that comes with a Peter Green anthology says that
"spurious LSD" or something along that lines contributed to an attempt
at way too much career--self-evaluation gone bad, basically that he
went away inside his head and had trouble coming back. Green is quoted
on his own predicament and seems more together about it than Syd but
not too illuminating. Eventually he ended up withdrawing into a series
of pickup jobs in the 70's until somehow he ended up responding to a
doctors' invitation at an institution to talk things over. They did.
The doctors involuntarily committed him. They released him in 1977.
