It satisfies me. Let's be serious here for a minute. Anybody who
thinks the Dead's trading policy is really intended to prohibit this
sort of transaction is just being foolish. Whatever that policy says,
the people the Dead are concerned with are the ones who are selling
the music FOR PROFIT. What the hell do they care if somebody sells a
tape or cd collection for less than the cost of the blank media? How
is anybody profiting off the Dead's music in that situation?
This sort of thing has been going on for years. Most likely there are
literally thousands of Deadheads who got on the bus long after the
trading scene began and who bought collections at less than media cost
in order to catch up. I know I did, and it was one of the best
investments I ever made. Some of you people should get off your high
horses and think about what you're saying.
