Either that, or just move the list to Google Groups and let Usenet RIP.

Is rec.music.gaffa actually a bonafide newsgroup, or just an email
gateway? I've tried posting to r.m.g. via usenet, but my posts have
never shown up anywhere. It's only when I've sent email to lovehounds
that I have gotten through.

RMG is a moderated newsgroup with the moderation address set to LH.
The reasoning behind this is that if the post makes it to LH then it
willl be posted to RMG.

This does have a couple of side effects - notably that people posting
to LH will have their email address in the clear on Usenet (possibly
increasing the chance of receiving spam emails), and people who post
to RMG without subscribing to the LH group will be denied posting
access.

Thanks.
