a friend of mine, a local guy, locust valley, long island,
is the executive producer for a new band, Big Blue Hearts.
monday night i got a chance to hear their album which is not yet released, not till aug 9.
it was thoroughly enjoyable, and i thought these guys should really do something, this is good music.
below is their web address. if you go there, (please do), there is an option "Music Player" on the top that takes you to full length versions of their entire album.
i recommend first trying "Lovin' You" the first song on the album, and their first single, and then try my choice for 1st single "Too Much".
i found myself carrying "Too Much" in my head all day today. if you listen, y'll know what i mean, if you listen closely, listen twice, you will be hooked.
please, give them a listen, i think you will be glad that you did. they liken themselves to the mavericks, buddy holly, the everly brothers, elvis.
what i hear is a chris issac -ness, if you took away the campy qualities of chris, putting in instead genuine warmth and sensual empathy.
this is really good music.
