Seems awfully quiet.
We hosted a LAFA filksing last night.
Karen Anderson attended and stayed over, having dim sum
with us before I drove her back home. Nick Smith also
showed up. The Breners didn't make it, saying that they
had decided the cost of gas was just too high, but we had
a fair number of other attendees (including Terry Brussel,
who's reverted to maiden name, and daughter Regina).
Barry sang my new song about the santanas (which should
be in this year's ConChord songbook).
<change of subject>
Decades ago I bought a strange record named Introspection IV
(MWF 9 Am, 3 units), which was Johnny Gunn jazz cuts with
spoken pieces, five of which were Fred Brown vignettes.
It's never been reissued in CD or cassette as far as I've
been able to find, but yesterday I found it online at
http://rapidshare.com/files/40714013/Johnny_Gunn_-_Introspection_IV.zip.html
as a bunch of mp3s. Someone more learned in hte lawn than I
will have to tell me if it's legal for me to make a CD of it
since I bought the LP, and if it's legal for others who don't
have the record to do so. I will settle for saying that it's
delightful (or was, the last time I heard the record).
