And if you listen to the barker's questions (He's a carny barker no matter what they call him) they do not ask for the fact, they say that they polled (IIRC an earlier audience) and SURVEY SAYS!
They are very clear that they are asking people in the audience to provide the answers, they are not looking for the truth but what people THINK is the truth.
So if you were to ask "Who gave the most famous haircut in the Bible" the survey would, of course, say Delila (Sampson's "lover")
But in fact, if you actually READ the Good Book, you find she called two of her servants and caused THEM to cut Sampson's hair.
Just a tiny difference between fact and fiction.
Another good one to ask would be what is the Root of all Evil
Money right, we all know that.
What the book says is: "The LOVE OF money is the root of all evil" (Again emphisis mine)
