Dylan came to divide us. Of this there can be little doubt. And inNo he didn't; he came to untie us.
dividing us he forces us to think not as sheep but as individuals. He
is an agitator. A prophet of chaos perhaps?
Repolarized by knot-type...
The greatest divisions amongst his followers appear to be:
Political
Faith (or lack of same).
Entertainment vs. Art
It should be possible for someone here to agree with something someone
else says even if they fall on the other side of one of the above
divisions. Otherwise the divisions rule. And I believe Dylan divides
not simply for the sake of division but to provoke debate and a re-
think (Do think twice!).
He has said enough things to suggest he is a Christian and enough to
suggest he is not. He has said enough things to suggest he is a
Democrat and enough to suggest not. He has said and done enough
things to make us believe he is in the entertainment business ... and
yet ..
