Thanks Zuke. I go back a ways myself. I thought perhaps it might have
been due to the ability to store threads of interest locally. Sadly,
though, very few these days seem worthy of saving. Most of the posted
threads these days seem to be hit-and-run affairs...not worth saving
in the least.

I use Google Groups a lot to look up answers for questions. It is
very valuable for that.
