Armed break-ins of private houses in the UK? Those figures will be
pretty scary. Sort of, like, once in a blue moon. But you never know.
Pack just in case. (Course that will lead to burglars figuring they
need to pack too, which leads to me needing security cameras... then
they need clever ways to beat them, so I have to pay for private
security, then they come with bigger do-dads ... Yes I feel much more
secure already. Thanks.)

be a threat, especially to seniors like me?

If you feel secure enough going unarmed, that is fine with me. I have
not problem with people who go unarmed. But that should not mean that
I must also go unarmed.

You must think that most gun owners are not responsible and I do not
agree with that position.

I agree that sobriety and training are the first concerns. I now have
27 years clean and sober and have had a good number of hours of
training. I am also a responsible person. If you fear my having a
weapon, then you fear your shadow.
