Gay marriage is an interesting cause because of the reasons people are
opposed to it.

Gay marriage is a legal issue that you insist upon viewing only in emotional
terms. Perhaps if you were able to engage in a rational, objective thought
process that was detached from the prism of your own feelings, you could
appreciate it for the complex and nuanced issue that it is.

Also, your complete lack of understanding about the most basic tenets of
American law and government certainly does not augment your ability to
discuss such an issue in an informed and/or effective manner.
