Of course I have no inside information and didn't mean to imply otherwise. Certainly in his public life, Bob would qualify as "relentlessly heterosexual," surely you would agree?

Besides, what's that got to do with having aids or not?

Because the nature of AIDs being what it is, the virus is extremely difficult to communicate, typically requiring an internal exchange of bodily fluids. So IV drug abusers, especially those who share needles, and homosexuals who engage in anal sex, have much greater chances of communication of the AIDS virus. Transmission of the virus by heterosexual, penis-in-vagina sex, by contrast, between partners without open genital wounds, while not impossible, is much more difficult.

I thought your question deserved a respectful, straighforward, scientific answer, but to my mind the whole business about Dylan with AIDs is not really worth such a serious discussion.
