I don't know why, but this reminded me of a joke told in that movie,
The Lives Of Others, which I saw pretty recently. The joke is about
the E. German leader of the time, Erich Honeker (sp?) Anyway, he
comes into his office in the morning and says, good morning, sun. The
sun answers, Good morning,
Erich. At lunchtime he says, Good afternoon sun, and the sun replies,
Good afternoon Erich. Then as the sun is going down and he is leaving
his office for the day, he says, Good Evening, Sun. But the Sun
doesn't answer. Again he says: "Good evening, Sun." Again no
answer. So he asks the sun if something's wrong. "Why don't you
answer me, sun?" The sun replies, "*** you, Erich. I'm in the West
now."
