Yes, but in this they reflect the current attitude of their leader. In my
experiences the vast majority of shows in recent years are consistently
professional, well presented, and cool-ly detatched. The misteps are few
and there's nary an "awful" night. For many artists that'd be great news.
For Bob Dylan it's disappointing.

For the few people who are proclaiming these shows as wild mercury, the
best concerts they've seen in their lives and transcendent performances, I
feel sympathy. One doesn't miss what one has never had.



Last year just by coincidence an mp3 from the then current tour and one of
the same song from '92 ended up next to each other. There was no mistaking
which was the tighter band and the overall musically better performance on
all levels and it wasn't the '92 version.
