Just a thought and question.
What Bob song consistently makes you laugh or makes you happy just by
hearing it? Consistently being key here.
For me I think I'd say, Things Have Changed, off the top of my head.
How about You?

Hiya Barbara,

May i call you Barbara? I hope this finds you well.

Thnaks for starting this one rolling; it seems popular, tho' as with
many posts here the original diverges in a yellow wood & then diverges
furthur in other coloured woods & sometimes blacktop, rocks & gravel,
concrete or abstract.

I can't really answer yr ? since i don't much laugh & no longer pursue
happiness; i'll give it some thought & perhaps down one road or other
i'll have an aha! experience. The lines about cronkite & grabbing
another beer usually bring a smile to me, esp. when i reach that
nother beer.

That said, to my knowledge, the only official bob Laugh is at the
beginning of 115th Dream (Dylan laughs! Garbo speaks!).

That said, & for historic purposes only, i hereby cut&paste all
official (bobdotcom) lyrics where he mentions "laugh" in any wordForm:

}
I PITY THE POOR IMMIGRANT
Who fills his mouth with laughing

PROPERTY OF JESUS
Laugh at him behind his back just like the others do,
...
You can laugh at salvation, you can play Olympic games,

LOVE MINUS ZERO / NO LIMIT
My love she laughs like the flowers,

SPANISH HARLEM INCIDENT
I got to laugh halfways off my heels.

WHEN THE SHIP COMES IN
Oh the fishes will laugh

WHAT GOOD AM I
And I laugh in the face of what sorrow brings

FROGGIE WENT A COURTIN'
6. Uncle Rat laughed and he shook his fat sides, Uh-huh,

WE BETTER TALK THIS OVER
Look at each other and laugh.

THE DEATH OF EMMETT TILL
There was screaming sounds inside the barn, there was laughing sounds
out on the street.

BABY, I'M IN THE MOOD FOR YOU
Sometimes I'm in the mood, I'm gonna laugh until I cry

DUSTY OLD FAIRGROUNDS
I've gazed from the trailer window laughing.

GATES OF EDEN
You will not hear a laugh

SWEETHEART LIKE YOU
You kind of remind me of her when you laugh.

CHIMES OF FREEDOM
Starry-eyed an' laughing as I recall when we were caught

DIGNITY
Someone showed me a picture and I just laughed

LIKE A ROLLING STONE
You used to laugh about

BLACK DIAMOND BAY
The desk clerk heard the woman laugh

DESOLATION ROW
While calypso singers laugh at them

LAST THOUGHTS ON WOODY GUTHRIE
That won't laugh at yer looks
...
Look at my skin laugh, look at my skin cry

LILY, ROSEMARY AND THE JACK OF HEARTS
"Has your luck run out?" she laughed at him, "Well, I guess you must

IT TAKES A LOT TO LAUGH, IT TAKES A TRAIN TO CRY
{

That's about it really; seems bob is as conflicted about laughter as
anything else. I'll refrain from "chuckle" or "guffaw", "tears" or
"cry".

At the same time, since verily not AAALLLLL of my spare time is
consumed with things bob, changed or other, i ran a quick search thru
my favourite online bible concordance, and find that most references,
for bettor or wurst, to laugh, laughter, or laughing appear in the Old
Testament, prepondourously.

Did Christ ever laugh? I always thought so.

Mebbe only at arcance ancient hebraic mosaic KnockKnock Jokes... :-)
(is that a nemoticon indicating "smile"?)

What i did find there, & it's probably been noted before:

}
I PITY THE POOR IMMIGRANT
Who fills his mouth with laughing

vs.

Then was our mouth filled with laughter
--Psalm 126:2 *KJV*
{

Yrs in all thnigs,
dudley

Hi there Dudley, may I call you Dudley? And yes, please call me Barbara, I
do not in the least care for Barb.
Surely, you haven't given up on laughing, smirking or questing for
happiness. Does not "I Shall Be Free", or shall we say "Talking Bear
Mountain picnic Massacre Blues", tickle you in any way?

In 2 Samuel 6:14 it says "David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the
Lord with all his might.
I always imagined if you danced with all your might, that it had to be with
a lot of heavy dancing going on and thus pretty darn joyful.

Take care and be well,

I think I may have called you Barb at times (i don't remember if it
was in both private e-mail and rmd, or just private e-mail.) Anyway,
I'm sorry. That was rude and inconsiderate of me. Please accept my
apologies.

i don't know why, but that was so funny, i am now looking back at it
and seriously wondered that i had the nerve to call her Barb.

now that i have written that, i think i did, and it is very
embarrassing to be me.

ok, i'm almost over it.

oh whatever.

i told you.

my brain is wired strangly now. (damaged, probably, let's be honest)
