I agree, although it sounds a bit bleak (lonely for Dylan) when you
put it that way. I think he thinks the less self-conscious he is as a
performer, the better. If he's thinking, "this gig's going well, could
be a live album", he's going wrong.
Still, I (selfishly) think the odd documentary live album from 20
years isn't too much to ask.
I think it has always been lonely for Dylan. Maybe it has to be that
way.
