degenerated by the end of the 1950s into teenybopper songs about puppy love.

The Dylan critic can write 10,000 pages about rock 'n' roll without
mentioning any black musicians. He can write 10,000 pages about Dylan's
music without noting any musical features. Quite often he has a religious
or political agenda, and cherrypicks his quotes to conform to his thesis.

There are no essential interviews. All you need to know is in the music.
