I do have to disagree here.

The no guitar, no piano, organ.

ONLY Artistic choice?? Wellllllll, maybe. maybe not.

More likely, harking back to the arthritis THEORY.

Guitar. much need for your hands to work properly, and, not hurt.

Piano. rap on those 88s, sometimes violently.

Organ. electronics, lay your phalanges down ever so gently.
Twisting the dials and punching buttons for effects.

I liked this show very much and as I haven't been here for quite some

I think I've seen a microphone arranged that way on stage to suit a
singer in front of the band. But if that was so, it wasn't used.
Mr. Dylan himself was in remarkable good spirits, by the way, laughing
once (had to repeat 'bottle' in "baby tonight") smiling quite often,
even gave a short wave and smile to the people across the river behind
the stage, attending the concert from there for free. That was funny
as he did that in his typical style I cannot explain in english.

Glad to hear it was a great show, Ingo! Can you tell us anything about
the styles of the songs? Any new arrangements? (Wenn es zu schwer ist,
das auf Englisch zu erklaeren, konnten Sie auch Deutsch schreiben -
aber dann bin ich vielleicht der einzige, der verstehen wird!)

Dylan has never publicly explained his decision to switch from guitar
to keys, so we're left to speculate. Jinx will suggest it's part of
some grand artistic vision, though damned if he knows what that vision
might be. Much more likely, I think, is the suggestion that as he's
gotten older (the man is 65 now, after all!) it's gotten harder and
harder for him to play the guitar; perhaps he has a mild form of
arthritis. It may simply be easier for him to bang away at the keys
rather than attempt any pickin' or strummin', plus the presence of keys
adds a bit more fuller sound to the band.

I now have very good information that it is arthritis that forced the
change ... but this does not account for the change for piano sound to
organ. This second change can only be an artistic choice.
