Yes. Those that think perjury is a "legal technicality" are fooling
themselves. Fitz. is extremely thorough and determined --see the story
in today's Chicago Tribune--and also accomplished (prosecuted the Blind
Sheik for 93 WTC bombing, for example, and is an authority on the legal
aspects of counter-terrorism). It is to be expected that if anything
new turns up--especially if Libby turns canary and fingers either Rove
or Cheney, which is doubtful-- that we could have a very interesting
next two years. But the WH document witholding is a matter of
executive privilege, and doesn't come under his mandate at all. The
idea that Fitz will be investigating the forged uranium documents from
Niger is even more absurd. Where would such an idea come from?
