Thanks for the recommendations. Someone I work with has turned out to
be a previously dormant Dylan fan. His interest has been reawakened by
the Scorsese film. He has a bio. on Bloomfield that I'll be reading
soon. We'll be trading some stuff soon (he's off on a vacation...).
It was kind of funny - we work in the same building one day a week and
right after the soundtrack was released, he came into my work area,
said, 'hey, I heard you were a Dylan fan' and started excitedly
babbling about his memories of Dylans albums coming out, what his
thoughts were as Dylan went through his changes, how people used to try
to figure out what the words were because there weren't lyrics printed
with the album...all sorts of memories came pouring out, like they'd
been bottled up for ages, waiting for a time to emerge. He even
mentioned Weberman. From what he said, I suspect that certain A.J.
antics were part of the cause of why all those memories were repressed.
