Burrito Deluxe's 'Midnight At A Red Light' Is A Potent Mix of Drive & Twang
www.burritodeluxe.com
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 31, 2006) - "It was midnight at a red light in
NowhereU.S.A." So begins the irresistible debut single from country- rockers
BurritoDeluxe's upcoming third album, DISCIPLES OF THE TRUTH (Luna Chica
Records). The track, Midnight At A Red Light, is a rollicking number from
the pen of Americana cult hero George Hamilton V and will be released to
international radio programmers June 1 via the Country Hotdisc compilation.
"We were looking for a song that was edgy but upbeat, with fun,
tongue-in-cheek lyrics," says Carlton Moody, guitarist and lead vocalist. "I
remembered 'Midnight at a Red Light,' which I used to play with George in
Europe on the big stage. I asked him to come into the studio and play it,
and immediately everyone in the band said, 'Yeah, we've gotta do this song! "
Midnight At A Red Light relates the cautionary tale of a naïve local boy who
meets his match at the hands of a worldly woman who's "just passing
through." The refrain deftly combines the titles of two classic songs in
summarizing the plight of this hapless victim of love (or a treasonable
facsimile thereof): "She was born to be wild, and he was born to lose." Like
the young man in the song, Burrito Deluxe throws caution to the wind in
laying down an infectious and organic groove that conjures up the thrill of
a smalltown summer night at the intersection of innocence and lust. With its
potent mix of drive and twang, the song is a natural for country playlists
ranging from traditional to Americana/alt.country to contemporary.
Burrito Deluxe, a seasoned group whose members' musical successes span four
decades, is made up of lead vocalist and guitarist Carlton Moody (The Moody
Brothers); electric guitarist and vocalist Walter Egan (Magnet and Steel,
Gram Parsons' Hearts on Fire); bassist Jeff "Stick" Davis (Amazing Rhythm
Aces, Brooklyn Cowboys); keyboardist Richard Bell (Janis Joplin, The Band);
and drummer Bryan Owings (Buddy & Julie Miller, Delbert McClinton).
DISCIPLES OF THE TRUTH, produced by Greg Archilla (Neil Young, Santana,
Matchbox 20), is due out later this summer. A live concert DVD is being
filmed in Nashville on June 3.

FROM CANADA -
Adam Gregory's Long-Awaited New Album out June 13th
www.adamgregory.com
On Tuesday June 13th Mensa Records will release Adam Gregory's self-titled
third album, just one month before his 21st birthday. EMI Music Canada will
distribute the record. The album, produced by Jeff Nystrom, is a great
introduction to the grown-up Adam Gregory, full of country rockers and
stirring ballads - six of which he co-wrote.
The album features contributions by such leading American songwriters as Jim
"Moose" Brown, Burton Collins, William Mack, and Stacy Wideliz; as well as
such noted Canadians as Aldo Nova, Adam Mitchell, Larry Wayne Clarke, Gilles
Godard and producer Nystrom. First single, "Get it On" is already a top-20
smash on the Canadian Country charts and the video is in the top 5 at CMT
Canada.
With two previous albums for Sony Music Entertainment (Canada), Adam,
originally from Edmonton, became a Canadian phenomenon before turning 16 -
chalking-up five Top 10 hits on the national country chart out of the gate.
He also toured early on with Terri Clark, Lonestar and the Wilkinsons.
Adam's Sony debut album The Way I'm Made yielded five Top 10 Canadian
country hits: "Horseshoes," "Only Know I Do," "No Vacancy," "Big Star" and
"It Ain't Cool. " All five videos made to accompany the singles reached #1
at CMT Canada. The album was certified gold (50,000 units) in 2002.
Adam's sophomore album Workin' On It on Sony was released July 9, 2002 - the
week he turned 17-and included the Top 10 national hits "The World Could
Use A Cowboy," and "You Could Have Fooled Me." For the album, he worked in
Nashville with a number of writers including Canadian Gilles Goddard, and he
co-wrote with Jim Witter and Stephan Moccio in Canada.
With the release of his new album, Gregory will be playing select dates
across the country, including opening slots for LeAnn Rimes June 27th at the
Plaza of Nations in Vancouver, June 29th at The Crystal Centre in Grande
Prairie and June 30th at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon. He will also
open for Keith Urban on July 13th in Sarnia, ON.

ACM FESTIVITIES 2006: ONE FINAL OBSERVATION
Tracy Lawrence Shares A Sentimental Moment With Kenny Chesney During
All-Star Jam Performance
www.tracylawrence.com
NASHVILLE-May 30, 2006-Sometimes friendships actually last. Last week Kenny
Chesney took the stage at the ACM's All-Star Jam in the MGM Grand Ballroom
following the ACM Awards. Once on-stage he told the crowd he wanted to get
Tracy Lawrence up on stage with him. He led the crowd in a chant calling
"TRACY. TRACY. TRACY. TRACY" until Lawrence joined him at the mic.
Chesney took off his guitar, handed it to Lawrence and asked if they
could sing "Sticks And Stones," Lawrence's first No. 1 record. The gesture
alone represented a sentimental moment shared between two longtime buddies.
They worked their way through that song and Lawrence handed the guitar back
for Chesney to take his turn. Chesney performed "Please Come To Boston."
Tracy Lawrence was visibly moved. It was one of those golden moments, simple
and sentimental with years of memories swirling.
The two share a lot of history and a friendship that has weathered the
entertainment business. They both hit Nashville about the same time. Tim
McGraw was also a member of their pack. Those boys ran together, ate
together, jammed together, and supported each other emotionally throughout
all of their career swings. They remain close friends today.
Lawrence's 17-song hits package, THEN & NOW: THE HITS COLLECTION, is
available in stores now. He is currently featured on one of the hottest
tours of the year - The 2006 George Strait Tour - that includes George
Strait, Lawrence, and Miranda Lambert. Lawrence will release his new single,
"You Find Out Who Your Friends Are" this summer with a new studio album to
follow as a winter release. For additional information, please contact Randy
Guidry or Debbie Holley at Holley.Guidry, 615-460-9550.
