Many programs produce outputs in sound formats, like MIDI. Perhaps you
should persuade some authors to produce output in a typesettable format,
say like the open LilyPond <http://lilypond.org/>, as it will produce
better scores than converting say MIDI. By a shell script, or using the
program 'make', on a UNIX like platform (like Mac OS X), you can then
produce and print scores on the fly.
