I'm using Finale 2001. Does 2006 offer this: putting 2 pages
side-by-side in page view, rather than seeing one at a time?
Mike
Another question: with Finale 2001 I can install it on all 3 of my
computers (home, work, and laptop). With Sibelius, though, if you want
to use it on multiple computers you have to "transfer the license" each
time you switch---irritating. What does the latest Finale provide?
Still easy to install on multiple computers (just one user)?
When I installed Finale, it comes up as Finale 2004A and 2004B - the A and B
must be for the first and second install. When I had to resurrect my hard
drive for the third time, it wouldn't let me reinstall Finally the "third
time" after 2004B (there must be no 2004C if you ge my drift). I called them
and they were able to get me my "first" install back - so now my computer
reads 2004A again when I open it. So my guess is that there's only 2
installs possible from one CD-Rom.
Were those first 2 installs on the same computer? Obviously I need
different computers, which may be a more difficult issue.
Are any of the computers Macs? 2006/7 comes on a hybrid disk IIRC and you might be able to do two PC installs and two Mac installs, but I'm not sure. Otherwise it looks from Joe's response that 2 installs is all you get!
