It happens similarly to me. Is not that I don´t believe in the
tremendous power of imagination and ideas which sometimes comes from
unknown places. But my method to compose is to discover music.
Numerical and sound combinations which pleases my intellectual taste
are the matricial sound object which begins to cristallize in front of
my ears-eyes. Then, a second process of intuitive reprogramming of
these initial results, shaping again and again, the composition, makes
me to discover some possible formal results. Sketching and hearing are
together, sometimes one is in the front then the other or mixed very
much. At the very end of this process if my artistic musical taste is
satisfyed, the work is done.
