What does your question have to do with classical music, Crighton?
13> I won't speak for Jerry, but in my case the fact that life
13> has been too busy recently is a big part of it.
Irrelevant, given that the erroneous presupposition of tallis has to
do with the claim that you've been quiet recently.
I should have read this before posting my question in reply to the other
digest. Anyway, she has been quiet recently, and Jerry has been almost
silent.

Also irrelevant, for the same reason.

Also irrelevant, for the same reason.

What does your wondering have to do with classical music, Crighton?
13> More than long enough. I wish he would go away.
He's a troll; he said so himself.
You finally got it!! Congrats on the improved reading comprehension,
Tholen.
13> No, you didn't ever answer my question, Tholen.
You would already know the answer to your question if you had better
reading comprehension skills, Crighton.
13> (I'm not planning to
13> pursue it - I was curious, but it's not that important to me.)
Are you also curious about the favorite composer of other readers?
Do you have a problem with the fact that she's interested?
She's never asked who my favourite composer is :-(
13> I guess he's read my posts here.
That does not preclude study in other area.
13> Why are you questioning his
13> statement - once in a while he's actually right.
Irrelevant, given that I didn't say he is wrong, Crighton. I asked
him for the basis for his claim.
13> It's not a big jump to assume that I will continue to study classical
13> music.
To the exclusion of all other kinds of music?
13> I'm not 100% sure yet exactly what I will be focusing on - I

Do those constitute classical music?
Define classical music.
13> The essay I
13> handed in last week was on Harry Partch, and one of the assignments
13> the week before was Ives. (The course was Music of the Americas, and
13> all the assignments were very general so we could pick what composers
13> or types of music we were most interested in. I thought that I was
13> safe from having anyone play Beethoven's 5th Symphony at me this year,

13> Saturday Night Fever version and the original. If anyone plays that
13> thing at me in class next year, I will scream - it's been once in
13> elementary school, twice in high school, every year of university so
13> far, and I'm really beginning to hate it.)
Try jazz.
You're at the right school for jazz, tweetie.
