I seem to have done little else since I retired at the end of the last
year except work on this M-set compilation. I have certainly earned a
break. All that is left are a few hundred cassette sides of my own. The
best stuff is 78s not in M-sets, esp. acoustic chamber music sets. But a
great deal is from live performances, which may be under copyright but
which the copyright holders may not care about. My aim is to get up
material is unambiguously in the public domain first, lest my entire
project bomb.
An amazing piece of work.
I am pleased to announce that today is the exact fiftieth anniversary of
my graduation from high school. It had a legendary music teacher, Earnest
Kitson, who taught music as a minor subject, which met only twice a week.
The course was required for third formers only. Jack Lane and I were his
sole students in the fourth and fifth forms, but since the sixth form was
to cover opera, I dropped out, leaving Jack alone with Mr. Kitson.
Would you care to rephrase that?
