My list is topped by Simon Rattle. I have yet to hear a single
recording from him that was even slightly satsifying, let alone that
even approached the hype from British reviewers that seem to consider
him the musical messiah. I would not surprised if worthy recordings
under his direction exist, but I've given up any effort to find them.
Not strictly classical music, but, Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops.
