Whatever the price, it is a value purchase - each of the productions (whether filmed, video or direct from stage) is as cogent, imaginative and thought-provoking as anyone could hope. "The Cunning Little Vixen" unfortunately can't be restored to the same excellent quality as the rest of the box, as it was initially recorded onto some sort of experimental tape which deteriorated disastrously - but the pantheism and humanity of Felsenstein's vision is intact.
