Perhaps. But it such a wonderful line, I can never resist trotting it
out when appropriate.

It is, of course, Miss Jean Brodie, speaking to one of her special
gurls. Maggie Smith delivers the line deliciously in the film. The
words belong, of course, to the divine Muriel Spark and are taken from
the Prime of the same MJB. I think I know the book by heart.
