The orchestra & chorus are somewhat polite and understated, and the
recorded sound sounds a bit distant, but still a fine performance. I
bought the CDs mostly for Emma Kirkby, and she is fabulous, of course.
It is my impression that she would probably not be particularly sympathetic
to the subject matter these days.
