I agree. The brick and mortar used stores in my area often have OOP
stuff for a fraction of the price of many online sellers, such as the
third party thieves at amazon. Patience is the most valuable
commodity, in this collectors opinion.
I failed to take my own advice! A copy of the DGG CD of Bernstein conducting
Stravinsky's "Les Noce" and Mass had been sitting around at Record Surplus
for a few weeks. After I read Scott Foglesong's recent San Francisco
Chronicle article, I went back and saw that it was no longer there. :--(
