This appears to be from a cap'n I hadn't previously encountered:

Their "BURNED, NOT STAMPED"...."FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE SOUND" graphic
made me laugh (on their home page). Any credibility they might have
had went out the window.

But wait a second. You extol the wonderfulness of buying music via
downloads because the physical medium doesn't matter. Probably, if you
were to buy one of these disks the first thing you would do would be to
rip it to one of your capacious hard drives. What does it matter to
you that it's a CDR, not a CD?

Because they say it is for "THE BEST POSSIBLE SOUND" when it is just
0s and 1s we're talking about.

At least they tell you up front exactly what you're buying.

I don't personally buy much music via downloads. I have extolled it as
a way for classical music to be financially viable. That's a big
difference.

Another way for classical music to be financially viable involves the record
companies doing a better job at PR, market research, and music itself, and
being willing to accept modest profits rather than insist on megabucks.
