I have been to CD Trader just once, about a month and a half ago.
Does their stock change frequently, is it worth going there monthly?

I'd say two months. The best time to go is shortly after EMI has
issued something that you want, because they often get tons of promos

I was excited when I went to Counterpoint (on Franklin) for the first
time a few months ago. I found many interesting OOP titles. On two
subsequent visits I am noticing many of the same titles, even in the
"New Arrivals" bins. The older stock even seems to have dust on a lot
of the CDs. I usually browse through the LPs (with no intention of
buying any) just for the nostalgia of seeing old familiar LP covers.

Not much stock turnover there; I still think the store is one of the
area's hidden pleasures. By the way, if you despair of parking just
use the lot for the grocery store across the street.

I always see a "security guard" hanging out in that lot, so I have
been afraid to do that. I usually can find a parking space on the
street 2-3 blocks east. Lord knows I can use the exercise. :)

Uh-oh, never saw that OFIH* before, but then I haven't been to Counterpoint
for maybe a year.

* OFIH = "Old Fart In Hat."
