Hi all, this disc did not appear for some time, like new condition,
first release

Don't need it; I got the Japanese CD for $15.

Those buying it know the difference, 50 years old tape "remastered" simply
does not sound same as the vinyl pressed 50 years ago from fresh tape.

Yes; the vinyl is going to have rumble, hiss, and pops.

It's all about how important sonic quality is to you.

Indeed; whenever possible, I would like to hear a performance without rumble,
hiss, and pops.

I agree that music should be first and it's much better to have it in any
format or quality than not to have it at all (it really is great
performance).

A few years ago I did a comparative hearing of recordings of this work by
Martzy, Stern, Suk, Chung, Prihoda, and Peinemann (the last was my imprint
version). The Prihoda was from late in his career and did not have much to
recommend it. I judged Suk to be the gold standard, with Stern and Chung not
far behind.
